We had an amazing time doing this shoot in collaboration with the Illume Collective and Posy. The inspiration for the engagement bash was pretty simple - a mix of styles including hints of pink and gold, natural elements like a handmade wood arch used for the ceremony altar, and a bit of bohemian flare.
We are over the moon with the Supreme Court decision that came through this morning. Love is love. And we're happy to see that in the end, love finally conquered. Here's a little engagement session we did a few months ago. Tan & Liz approached us about doing a session of the two of them. From the start, it was very important to them that we represent who they are as a couple and catch them in the natural settings that they normally frequent.
We're so excited to be documenting their upcoming wedding. When we first met with them they told us they weren't sure what to call the day as they couldn't legally get married. I'm happy to finally be able to call it what it is -Marriage: a union of two people in love. Here's to everyone being able to celebrate in the name of love.
Young and Jason wanted a laid-back relaxed outdoor wedding, with a dramatic, indoor portrait session to counter balance it all. Their indoor pre-ceremony portraits were done at the Athletic Club of Columbus, followed by their outdoor ceremony at the Franklin Park Conservatory. I love how simple, pure and elegant it all turned out. We had such an amazing time getting to know these two and their kind family.
