kayla + zach | granville inn, granville ohio

Kayla reached out to us early last year… completely out of the blue and said “We're having a very intimate ceremony (less than 30 people) at the Granville Inn, no wedding party. But, we have 10 acres, a pond, chickens, cat, dog- and are very important to us. Can you do this?” UM. YES! You had us at “10 acres”… and the more we communicated the more I excited I was about this wedding. Kayla and Zach got ready at their house, and after their first look, we wandered around their lot, sometimes barefoot, sometimes in farm boots, searching for animals and feeding chickens, having a good laugh and a few drinks too. The honesty and genuine love of these two is incredible and we are so happy to have been such a big part of their day. Thank you!

Oh my, where do I start with this sweet, fun-loving and incredibly adorable wedding? Dana reached out to us over a year ago and described her wedding as a mix of family traditions with modern elements, pops of color and good ol' quirky fun (oh, and caricature artists!).  We had so much fun documenting this day, and think that every couple should be surprised with a tandem bike just before portraits ;)

Congrats Dana and Aaron!

jessica + matt | cleveland rail yard wedding.

jessica called us because her original photographer had fallen through.  "Call it kismet!" she said to me. Twenty minutes later we were chatting as if we were old friends, talking about abandoned railroads, the charm of old rusty spaces, and the beauty of the rustbelt. Exactly what jessica wanted for her wedding. She and matt grew up in seedy underbelly of cleveland, and while they had both moved out to colorado, they kept insisting "if we wanted another pretty rustic wedding, we'd just stay put! but we are want to do something different!".

the culmination was a lithuanian / lebanese cultural infusion with a backdrop of cleveland's  best kept secrets. we hope you enjoy.
