liz + aalap | cincinnati indian dance-party wedding

i'm so excited to be sharing this wedding finally with the world.  liz and aalap met us for coffee in dayton early last year, and as soon as they walked in, i knew whatever their story was, we were going to love it. they had met and dated through college, both played in a punk / riot-girl-inspired band that liz fronted, had a solid base of artist and musician friends in cincinnati, were well established within the indian culture, and wanted to have a wedding that catered to the old world traditions of aalap's family, while keeping that free-spirit of fun and creativity at the core. the entire wedding took place at the historic hoffner logde located in the northside neighborhood of cincinnati. the space was transformed from a traditional indian ceremony, to a family-style sit-down dinner, and finally, to a dance party where an official talking heads cover band (dear friends of the couple) played the night away. all credit to transforming the day and keeping things moving along goes to amber bowers and her crew from adore handmade.  we hope you enjoy the photos!
